Incredible May!

I have not posted on the blog for quite awhile, I had back surgery and I am back on the road to recovery. The ice left Rainy Lake in normal fashion on April 27th.

Our guests who come in May and June come for the spectacular northern pike, walleye and smallmouth bass fishing. This year fishing was beyond spectacular, there is no need to drive north into Ontario when awesome fishing awaits you without crossing the U.S/ Canada border.

Rainy Lake Houseboats points out fabulous areas to moor your houseboat through out the Voyageur National Park section of Rainy Lake. Early season provides you with many options for fishing. Casting, trolling, slip bobbering for walleyes, fly fishing for smallmouth bass and northern pike, and bobber fishing for huge crappies are all done in close proximity to your houseboat. Just a sampling of this springs fishing. don’t forget about those first tasty shorelunches of the year. Start early making your vacation plans for a Rainy Lake Houseboat vacation next spring.
